3 Daily Habits to Attract More Abundance Into Your Life

I’m going to open up and let you guys know some of these strategies that I have done and that I still do that have attracted great abundance into my life. This year, I will be talking a lot about woo woo stuff because that’s part of who I am. I’m all about tangible business strategy, but I’m also very spiritual.

Today are the three daily habits to attract more abundance into your life.

Declutter.

You need to create more space in your physical environment to attract more abundance. If every drawer is stuffed and filled, there’s no room for anything else. Getting into the daily habit of cleaning your desk and cleaning out your physical space is one of the easiest ways to attract new abundance into your life.

Write your goals out on cards.

I want you to write them as if they already happened, and I want you to be grateful for them. For example, I am so happy and grateful that I have created consistent $10,000 months in my business. Thank you, God. Thank you, universe. Thank you, Buddha.

This, my friends, is my first set of goal cards that I wrote in 2011 that my coach told me to do. You choose the word that you use and that you connect with. You’re going to write them down on your cards, and then you will read them several times a day. The idea here is that we are imprinting them on our subconscious mind. We’re trying to reprogram your subconscious mind for abundance. Every single thing in this deck has come true.

I’m not even joking. I was like reading through. I’m like, “Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.” Amazing. Do this. All right. Write them down. Say them over and over again every single day.

Track every bit of money that comes into your life every day.

Open up an Excel spreadsheet or a Google sheet, and I want you to write every deposit that hits your bank account. If somebody gives you a bottle of wine, I want you to count the value. So, say this is like, okay, that’s $20. If someone offers you to see a concert, the value of the ticket. If you find $2 on the road, I found $40 in the airport the other day. I would put that on my spreadsheet. So, the idea here is what you track grows. It is a universal law.

Get in the habit of doing this every day and watch the abundance flow into your life.

The Behaviors You Need to Make 2022 Your Best Year Yet

Today we are talking about the behaviors you need to make 2022 your best year yet. To create an amazing year, an amazing life, mindset is required. But without the behavior to go along with the mindset, you will not get very far.

For example, you might have total clarity on your fitness goals. You may say, “I want to lose this much weight”, but if you’re not exercising or dieting the way that you should, you’re not going to get very far with your fitness goals. The same goes for your business goals.

If you know that you want to create this much income in 2022, but you’re not showing up and doing anything to make that happen, you’re just wishfully thinking and hoping that this year’s going to be great.

Today I have defined four behaviors that you should take part in to create an amazing year.

You need to create a morning ritual.

Start every day with a morning ritual to optimize your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. In my Multiply Mastermind Program, we have a book club. One of my favorite books in 2021 was the Miracle Equation by Hal Elrod. He also wrote the Miracle Morning, and I have to tell you this really resonated with me and stuck with me, and I now protect my morning routine with all of my might.

For 12 years, I have had my cleaning lady come at 8:00 AM every Tuesday, and I finally told her that she needs to come later because it is interrupting my morning routine, morning practices, and morning rituals. She wasn’t happy about it, but it’s that important because it puts me in the right mindset and frame of mind to make the most out of my day.

If you haven’t read the book, it’s called the Miracle Morning, and he also wrote the Miracle Equation. You can also go to Amazon Prime and watch Miracle Morning Movie. It’s short, it’s great, but I highly suggest creating a morning ritual so that you can start your day with an optimal mindset.

Design a predetermined process that produces the desired result.

Get clear on which actions, behaviors, and routines you need to commit to and then follow through with them to reach your goals. Going back to the fitness that’s the easiest to explain, but if you know precisely that you need to work out five days a week, you need to strength training three days a week, and you need to cut out carbs, that’s your process, and that’s going to get you your result.

You need to show up and follow that process every day. The same goes with business, something I’m giving you guys one of the processes I call is the see it through strategy, and this is how I become so unbelievably productive.

Figuring out your process that you need to show up to create the results in all areas for your goals. One of my favorite tips is creating a foundational schedule, or what I like to call a model calendar, because that way, you know exactly when you are focused on every habit or process.

The Behaviors You Need to Make 2022 Your Best Year Yet


It’s what you do every day, and most people let their schedules run them. They don’t set it proactively in advance and then show up for it. That is how you will create amazing results in your business and your life.

Initiate a support system.

It could be the Pet Nanny Coach community free Facebook group. There’s a ton of Facebook groups that you can join on Facebook. It could be you decide to join a mastermind or a coaching group.

You could also get a group together and start your group, your little mastermind group. You can start a Facebook group, other business owners you know come together and start your circle. You want to be an accountability buddy. You want to create the support system around you, where somebody else holds you accountable for your behaviors. They are giving you feedback, and they are giving you support.

It is so unbelievably invaluable, and that’s why I love my Mastermind Program. I love my students. We are all there to hold each other up, celebrate with each other, and, most importantly, hold others accountable.

What are you doing this week? What three things are you doing? And then, at the end of the week, did you do them? It’s as simple as that. Try to initiate a support system, whether you create your own or join one. If you have to show up and be accountable to somebody else, you’re more likely to achieve your goals.

Seek out guidance.

Do not try to figure this out on your own. I have not learned all that I know about business.

I didn’t download it from space. I sought out teachers who have done it already, and I learned from them, modeled them, and implemented the behaviors and results.

There is absolutely no reason you should be trying to figure this out yourself, trying to recreate the wheel. Find somebody you resonate with that you look up to that has the results in their business that you want, and learn from them. You are going to save years, upon years, upon years, upon years of your time if you do this and you take the shortcut.

And remember, guys, that every year’s ultimate purpose is to continue learning and continue growing and becoming a better version of yourself than you were before.

Accountability Buddies for Pet Sitters

The concept of accountability buddies for pet sitters came into my existence years ago when I was part of a Mastermind Group. We were assigned a new accountability buddy each quarter, and we were told to have a five-minute conversation with them every work day. On the call, we were to tell the other person the three tasks that we were to work on that day. The following day we would hold each other accountable and then tell each other our three tasks for that day and so on and so forth.

In my experience, this was just too much! The conversation was supposed to only be five minutes, but if you had a chatty partner, you would be on the phone for much longer than that which ate up valuable time in my day. I then started to dread these calls, which utterly defeated the purpose.

My Accountability Buddies for Pet Sitters System

  1. Find a buddy using our FREE Pet Nanny Coach Community Facebook Group. Use the #accountabilitybuddy
  2. Pick a standing day and time that you will meet each week and put it on repeat on your calendar with reminders, so you don’t forget.
  3. Share your top 3 goals/tasks for the week.

Why Accountability Buddies for Pet Sitters are so Powerful

Being in business for yourself, you only need to answer to yourself. You don’t have a boss who gives you strict deadlines. You’re the boss, and if you don’t feel like doing something, nobody is going to make you do it. But if you have an accountability buddy, you now have someone to answer to, and you are going to be much more likely to complete your tasks. This process turns your “good intentions” into actual “to-do’s.”

Identify Your Champagne Moment

Cara Bentley of Lifehack Bootcamp coined the phrase your “Champagne Moment.” This is what you really need to focus on what’s really going to move your business forward.

Do this exercise weekly (ideally with your accountability buddy!) on Sunday night to sort out the critical tasks from the seemingly important tasks.

1: What could you do this week that would deserve popping a bottle of champagne and truly celebrating? Think beyond “shallow work” like emails and meetings. What’s a moment that would really propel your life or career forward?

2: What’s the #1 goal this week that would help you get to that result?

3: How many hours would take you to accomplish your goal? Is it doable in a week?

4: What’s the #1 task you can complete on MONDAY to get you to your weekly goal?

5a: Write down 3 potential things that could DISTRACT or PREVENT you from reaching your goal.

5b: What’s your “plan of defense” to STOP those things from happening?

Would you feel like popping open a bottle of champagne and CELEBRATING when your weekly goal is complete? If not, repeat this exercise! It’s not a Champagne Moment unless you would want to CELEBRATE it.

How to Conquer Overwhelm

This week, we are focusing on how to conquer overwhelm, getting all of those dastardly tasks and things we need to do out of our heads and start taking action on them so we can move our pet sitting business forward.

I’ve been noticing a very common denominator among the pet-sitting business owners I speak or work with.  And it’s something that most business owners struggle with at one point or another.

It happens when you’ve got so much going on that you can’t see through the trees! Most likely, you’re out still walking the dogs, taking care of the pets, and you don’t really have a whole lot of time to work on the business.  That’s when overwhelm kicks in.

When you start feeling overwhelmed, you might want to give up.  But don’t do that!  I’m going to show you how to push through to the other side and avoid burnout.

Here are some concrete tips on how to overcome your overwhelm, conquer that overwhelm, really start focusing on moving your business forward and reach the goals you’ve set for your business.

#1 Brain Cleanse

The first step is to get everything out of your head. You want to do a total brain cleanse. Just go ahead and dump everything. Every single thing that you can possibly think of – get it out of your head and get it on paper.

Below this video, I’m going to link to some awesome dry erase sheets that you can put up on a wall and write everything down. If you have a whiteboard, use it. If you prefer doing it on your phone, or in your notes, do that.

You can use a mind-mapping tool like MindMeister if that works better for you. A notebook works great. However you do it, just get it out of your head and onto paper.

#2 Organize

The second step to conquering overwhelm is to organize everything you wrote down into projects. Then beneath the projects, list out the steps that need to take place for you to complete the project.  You might end up with five or six projects in front of you.

#3 Prioritize

Next I want you to prioritize the projects you created.  What are we going to do first? What comes second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth?

#4 Schedule

Now that you have everything that used to be floating around in your head written down, organized and in order, you are going to actually schedule these into your calendar.

Take the time to write everything down.  Walking around with everything competing for bandwidth in your brain means you are much less likely to get it done. Get it out of your head and start working on those projects that you’ve wanted to get done for a long time. I know you can do it!

The 1 Hour Rule

You may have heard the 10,000-hour rule, which means that you can learn to become an expert at anything as long as you give it 10,000 hours of your time. Now, this very well may be true.

However, thinking that way stops people in their tracks because your brain automatically goes into overwhelm and overdrive. And when that happens, you start procrastinating, and therefore you do not take action, so you stay stuck where you are.

Think a little smaller.

Think about doing one newsletter or writing one blog post, learning how to do one automation inside your email autoresponder, or completing one module. Just think of it as one hour of your time each workday, Monday through Friday, and think about all that you can accomplish by just focusing on that one task and that one hour.

Chunk down these big projects into tiny, small, manageable tasks.

Block out that time on your calendar to show up for yourself and your business, these wins will start to stack, and then you’re going to gain momentum, and then you’re going to get clarity because clarity comes from taking action.

Instead of thinking like, “Oh my gosh, 10,000 hours I’m going to have to put into learning how to build a business”…

2 Meditation Tools for Pet Sitters

Listening to Binaural Beats when you are meditating or sleeping can help you manage your pet sitting business. This video describes the benefits of making Binaural Beats part of your daily routine.

Binaural beats are when you hear two tones, one in each ear, that are slightly different in frequency. Your brain processes a beat at the difference of the frequency. This is called a binaural beat.

Using Automation in Your Business.

 

About six months ago, I was advised by my coach to get earbuds and listen to binaural beats when I’m meditating. I was doing some reading about it, and I was like, it’s terrific to listen to binaural beats when you’re sleeping. It does all types of goodness for your subconscious mind, your subconscious thoughts. It reduces anxiety. It helps you increase your focus and attention, lower stress, increases relaxation, fosters positive moods, promote creativity, and helps manage pain.

These were all these benefits I heard about binaural beats when you go to sleep with them in your ears with your earbuds. But I like to sleep on my side or my stomach, and the earbuds would hurt. So I was like, “This isn’t working.”

I was scrolling through Twitter one day, and one of these ads pops up. This is like a sleep mask, and it has earphones on the side. It doesn’t hurt, and these are great for the plane too, or if you want to do a quick meditation in the middle of the day, block out all the light and go to sleep listening to different meditations, hypnosis, or binaural beats.

Another tip I have for you is this great app I found called Synctuition. This is a paid app, but it gives you all types of binaural beats for all different things. If you want to start a meditation practice or you want to up your meditation practice so you can become more productive in your life and your business, try these two things out.

How to Read More Books in 2021

This is a challenge that I’ve extended to my students in my Multiply Mastermind Program and my Scholars Program.

But one of the big things I hear when I suggest different books to members of my pet sitting community or my students is “Colleen, I do not have the time to read a book. I don’t have time to do anything for myself, let alone sit down and read.”

Start listening to books.

I use an Audible app through Amazon, and it’s given me the ability to take in at least one book a week.

Realize you have plenty of time when doing other things.

You might not have time to sit down with an actual hard copy book, but my second tip is you have plenty of time when you are loading and unloading the dishwasher, cleaning your house, doing laundry, and you’re walking the dog. If you put your earbuds in and listen to the book when you’re doing these things, you don’t need a lot of mental concentration when doing these types of tasks. You can consume more.

Speed up Audible.

You don’t have to listen to it at the exact speed that the author is reading. You can go up to two times as fast and that way you can get through more books.

Avoid Perfection Paralysis in Your Pet Sitting Business

I had a great coaching call with one of my Multiply Mastermind students, and we were talking about automations. Automations are what I teach my students to create on the backend that will take the manual processes out of their business, so things are happening without doing every last piece of it.

The number one automation we need to get is a lead magnet on their website. That is something you can offer your customer prospects in advance that will give them value, that’s going to add them to your email list, to convert them into a customer.

My student created several lead magnets. A lead magnet for dogs, for cats, one for summer, and one for winter. They were all excellent lead magnets, but she doesn’t need seven of them.

She just needs one.

She needs one to get it up and to run within her automation to get the campaign going.

That is what this lesson is all about. You have to be aware and mindful of the rabbit holes.
